While most of what we see of celebrities is glitzy and glamorous, it’s not all fun and games. And yesterday the paparazzi caught up with Blake Lively after a long day at work.
As the blonde bombshell exited her trailer, she and co-star/real life boyfriend Penn Badgley summoned the energy to meet and greet a few fans, taking pictures and signing autographs.
Following their public relations session, the two lovebirds made their way towards Midtown Manhattan along with Blake’s tiny furry friend Penny.
Earlier in the day, Miss Lively was spotted on the Gossip Girl set sporting a halter-style shimmery blue ankle-length dress, shooting scenes with co-stars Chace Crawford and Madchen Amick.

Ed Westwick pairs his pretty pink shirt with a maroon suit as he makes his way from the make-up trailer to the set of Gossip Girl in New York City on Wednesday.
Mr. Westwick turned the big 2-1 last Saturday and celebrated at TAO Night Club in Vegas.
Co-stars Chace Crawford, Blake Lively, Penn Badgley and Leighton Meester were all on set as well.

Blake Lively opens up in the August 2008 issue Seventeen and shares about the crazy things she does with friends, the hot gossip about her co-stars and what’s really going on between her and her GG boyfriend Penn Badgley.
Here are a few choice quotes from the article:
On her real-life high school compared to Gossip Girl: “Oh, my goodness, my real-life high school experience could not be more different than Gossip Girl. Burbank feels like a small town in the big city of L.A. So for a fun night out, we would go to school fund-raisers. I was very involved in school – I was class president! And all of my friends were good – nobody was too wild. The kids on Gossip Girl enjoy getting a great education, but they couldn’t care less about school itself. But I think at the core, everyone deals with similar things in high school: jealousy, people making up rumors, dating someone you shouldn’t, or wanting to be with someone who’s unattainable.”
On her most awkward moment on Gossip Girl: “Chace and I had to do that scene in the first episode when I’m sitting on his lap on the barstool. Then they call, ‘Cut!’ and I just have to sit on the lap of this guy I met two weeks before! And I’m like, ‘So, you want to get some pizza tonight or something?’ What do you even talk about?!? It’s not as romantic as people think it is.”
On playing Guitar Hero: “I play in tournaments in Brooklyn. I’ll cover myself in sailor tattoos and dress like a rock star. Everyone else dresses totally normally and must think I’m a complete freak!”
On being compared to a hotel heiress: “I once heard someone say that I’m similar to Paris Hilton – since I have a dog and blonde hair, that must mean we’re alike. “It’s a dumb thing to say. I dont think that makes Paris and me similar … I don’t go to clubs, I don’t party, I don’t dance on tables, and I don’t like sex tapes.”
On her relationship with her on-and-off-screen boyfriend and how actors fall for each other: “Penn [Badgley]does these silly dance moves, and he’s very witty and quick, so it’s fun to have sharp banter with him… When you’re saying these words [from the script] that people are making you say to one another, nothing about it is real or genuine. So if two people connect outside their characters, then that’s how they get together.”
On being passionate: “When I care about somebody, whether it’s my best friend or somebody who I would date, I give them all of my heart. I’ve just been so loved, and I’m used to really loving people and trusting them.”

Amick, 37, will appear in the first few eps of the new season as cougar Catherine Mason and tempt Nate Archibald (Crawford, 22) with a May-December romance. In the first four or five episodes, it will also be revealed that Amick’s character will also have “a surprising connection to another new character on the show.”

With the overwhelming success of Gossip Girl, it appears producers are already thinking about how to expand the storyline. And when Madchen Amick appeared on the set earlier today, it opened a whole new can of worms.
The “Twin Peaks” beauty, 37, is reportedly set to play Catherine Mason, a May-December older love interest for Chace Crawford’s character. And with a hot body like that, Nate Archibald will be after her in no time!
Speaking of Chace, he was looking might fine today on the GG set as well, sporting a blue polo shirt and grey trousers as he listened to his iPod between scenes.
The paparazzi also nabbed shots of Leighton Meester, Ed Westwick, Penn Badgley, and Blake Lively all hard at work on episodes for next season.
